Favs

I’m not a big consumer of things – in fact, I’m always working to protect empty spaces on my shelves and inside my cupboards! BUT, sometimes there are things worth getting because they align with and support our values.

So on this page, I’ve listed the products we love and use that I realized I’ve referenced over and over in my blog posts!

For Family Fun:

Games that our kids love playing AND we love playing with them.

For a Minimalist Home with Kids:

A handful of curated toys for the kiddos with no batteries, no flashing lights or loud songs. Just simple, open-ended toys that our kids have played with for years and continue to enjoy to this day.

For Baby and Breastfeeding:

I know a lot of people find my website because they are searching for info on breastfeeding, specifically in the early days. These have been my favorite products that have supported me in my breastfeeding journeys with four babies in the last 7 years.

For Reading:

We are big fans of reading aloud to our kids, reading ourselves, and encouraging our kids to read, now that our oldest is becoming a reader. And even if the kids don’t read, we love to keep books around for them to look at (it’s never to early, is it?).

This is a list of some of our favorite books:

Picture books:

Jammy Dance
The Very Noisy Baby
Berenstain Bears Treasuries (we have several different treasury collections!)
The Pigeon Needs a Bath
James Herriot’s Treasury for Children
Dear Deer
Angelina Ballerina Books – I specifically like the older, original “classic” books because the artwork is so beautiful! (Birthday Surprise, Star of the Show, Baby Sister, Angelina and Alice, Angelina at the Palace, Angelina and Henry, etc)
Shirley Hughes’s Books (especially Alfie and Annie Rose and Dogger stories)
Harriet, You’ll Drive Me Wild!
There’s a Dragon Downstairs!
Little Blue Truck
Beatrix Potter’s Story Books
Richard Scarry Books (Especially Cars and Trucks and Things That Go)
Corduroy
Big Truck, Little Island
The Bowerbird
The Jesus Storybook Bible
Promises of God Storybook Bible

Board Books (for babies and toddlers):

Sandra Boynton Books (Moo, Baa, La La La, The Barnyard Dance, The Going to Bed Book, But Not The Hippopotamus, But Not the Armadillo)
Nature Friend Lift-A-Flap Books

Chapter books:

The Wind in the Willows
The Narnia Chronicles
The Green Ember Series (also fantastic as audiobooks! You can get the first book in the series free if you sign up to receive the author’s newsletter)
